The required book for the course is NOT available at the bookstore but should be purchased through the University Readers' student e-commerce store (instructions below). I have carefully chosen this book to provide you with the best learning experience. Please purchase it ASAP to stay on top of your readings. Doing so is essential to be successful in this class. The book includes readings that we will use in class daily, so you should purchase your own copy. You cannot complete your course assignments without the book. Also, please keep in mind that our institution adheres to copyright law, so any copyrighted material should not be copied or duplicated in any manner.

We will be using an online learning management system called Canvas (better than Blackboard in my opinion). You need to purchase this online course access app in order to take the class. All of your tests will be taken on it and homework will be submitted through it. There you will be able to see your grades and receive announcements. Like the book, it can be purchased through the University Readers' e-commerce store (https://students.universityreaders.com/store/).

To purchase the textbook and online course access (both are required, not optional), please follow the instructions below:

Step 1: Log on to https://students.universityreaders.com/store/ Step 2: Create an account or log in if you have an existing account to purchase. Step 3: Find the Ancient Egypt - Textbook & Online Course Access Bundle. Note: it is possible to purchase the book and online access separately, but you save about $10 by getting them as a bundle. Click "Select." Step 4: Choose an Option (whichever you prefer). Step 5: Click "Add to Cart." Easy-to-follow instructions will guide you through the rest of the ordering process. Payment can be made by all major credit cards or with an electronic check. Step 6: After purchasing, you can access your partial e-book (FREE 30% PDF) by logging into your account and clicking My Digital Materials to get started on your readings right away.

Course Materials Website: http://lms.cognella.com - After making your purchases from the online �Student Store� you will be automatically enrolled to �Cognella�s Learning System� aka Text Website. You will receive an email providing you with a link to complete your registration, set your contact preferences, time zone, and notification settings for the online course material. From this point forward you will always use http://lms.cognella.com to access your online course material.
